How Brightpick’s Robots-as-a-Service works
Brightpick offers transparent RaaS pricing with all-inclusive servicing and performance guarantees as standard
Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) transforms warehouse automation from a large upfront capital investment into a manageable monthly operating cost. Instead of buying robots outright, you pay for the work they perform, which reduces financial risk, simplifies budgeting, and delivers immediate ROI. Brightpick’s RaaS model follows a structure similar to SaaS contracts, delivering flexible, cost-effective automation with minimal upfront investment.
Transparent pricing and contracts
With a clear and transparent structure, Brightpick’s RaaS contracts bundle all essentials – from integration and installation to guaranteed performance and ongoing support – so you can launch with confidence.
- Monthly pricing: $1,800 to $2,200 per robot, depending on installation size and contract length. This includes all robots, the latest software, 24/7 remote support, on-site servicing, and preventive maintenance.
- Upfront fee: $1,000 per robot, with a $70,000 minimum. This covers solution design, WMS integration, and on-site installation and commissioning. In addition, the customer is responsible for purchasing the shelving and totes (which can be done through Brightpick or directly from third party suppliers).
- Support: Full-service maintenance is included, covering 24/7 remote support, preventive and emergency maintenance. On-site support staff is available as an optional add-on.
- Performance Guarantees: Brightpick’s RaaS contracts include uptime and throughput guarantees, tailored to your operational needs based on data provided during solution design.
- Contract Term: The minimum duration is 3 years, with discounts for longer upfront commitments. At the end of the term, you can choose to renew, upgrade to the latest hardware, or purchase the system outright.
Proven customer success
Many businesses have already embraced Brightpick’s RaaS with excellent outcomes:
- The Feed, a leading U.S. e-commerce retailer, deployed 48 Brightpick robots in 2024 and added 25 more in 2025. CEO Matt Johnson notes, “We view Brightpick as part of our labor cost – and we’ve cut that cost by nearly 70%, even factoring in the monthly RaaS fee.”
- Dr. Max, Europe’s second-largest pharmacy chain, began with 9 Autopickers in late 2023 and scaled to 19 robots in 2025.
- Rohlik, Europe’s top e-grocer, has deployed hundreds of Brightpick robots across multiple locations, demonstrating RaaS’s scalability and effectiveness.
