2025: a year of milestones
2025 was a year full of milestones for Brightpick. New robots, new HQ, new teammates and some very real lights-out magic. Here are some of our most significant achievements from this past year:
🚀 Product milestones
• Launched our upgraded Autopicker 2.0 with all-new hardware, picking-in-motion and physical AI, finally achieving human-level performance.
• Introduced Giraffe, our high-density robot capable of reaching 6 meters and delivering 3x more storage density.
• Lights-out operations are now a reality, with customers like The Feed running fully autonomous night shifts powered entirely by our robots.


📦 Deployments
• Our robots have travelled 1 million kilometers, picked 16 million items, and dispatched 8 million totes this year.
• Superior Communications in Tennessee went live with a large Autopicker fleet.
• Many existing customers expanded their fleets and installations – a strong sign of ROI.
• Several new installations were completed and will be revealed in 2026.
🌎 Global expansion
• We opened our new HQ in Austin to support the growing North American customer base.
• Announced our first partner in Thistle Systems, one of the UK’s leading integrators.
• Welcomed new commercial leaders: Julian Hafner (VP of Sales Europe), Neal Rowe (Country Manager UK&I), Stefano Francavilla (Channel Director).
💲 Fundraising
• Sold our subsidiary Photoneo to Zebra Technologies for €60 million, with the majority of the sales proceeds reinvested into Brightpick.
