Quality Assurance Engineer

Description of the position

As a new member of our QA team, you will play a crucial role in improving our robotic intelligence software and hardware systems, making them even better, smarter, and more efficient. Our successful project portfolio is constantly growing, and one of our main company goals is to deliver high-quality software and hardware solutions. Therefore, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Quality Assurance Engineering team.

One of your primary responsibilities will be to review the work of developers and ensure that their output meets both our and our customers’ expectations, as well as our standards for quality, usability, and user experience. In this role, you will communicate regularly with experienced QA Engineers, developers, and all other relevant parties involved in the software development process. As part of your job, you will need to play the role of a detective, uncovering even the most difficult and hidden issues that may arise in the developed solutions. This will require you to constantly learn new things and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in our products.

As we are not only a software development company, you will have the opportunity to work with real hardware such as mobile robots, robotic arms, 3D scanners, and more. This will add an exciting and interesting dimension to your work. Additionally, if you have experience with the implementation of automated testing suites, there will be ample opportunity to further develop this skill within our QA Engineering team.

Core responsibilities:

• modeling, definition, and execution of testing and regression scenarios
• maintenance and updating of existing testing scenarios due to implementation and specifications changes
• bug reports creation as a result of the testing process
• testing (manual or/and automatized) according to testing scenarios in a virtual, controlled real environment with real HW and on-site customers environment
• system deployment and integration support (virtually and possibly on-site)
• dynamically gaining knowledge of whole system specification, infrastructure, and processes
• use of internal tools for reporting, monitoring, and creating new bug reports and issues
• software and hardware testing of our system’s components
• verification and inspection of user documentation
• reporting of found issues to the development team,
• creation of replication scenarios as a result of the testing process
• analysis and evaluation of implemented features
• regular communication with QA management, development team, analytics, and project management
• meeting project deadlines
• (optionally) implementation of automatized testing scripts according to the specifications
• other tasks according to the employer’s instructions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree
• English – Upper-intermediate (B2) – written and spoken
• willing to learn system concepts and functionalities,
• ability to understand both technical (feature described by the developer) and non-technical (feature analysis) oriented documentation
• ability to test and describe whole developed system components
• the basic use of the Linux system
• experience with UX/UI design (is a plus)
• basic experience with Python, and C++ (is a plus)
• basic experience with Testing libraries like Selenium, Google tests, … (is a plus)
• experience with Source Control Management tools like git, subversion, etc. (is a plus)
• experience with working with real HW (is a plus)
